One of the most important features of MeteoGroup’s meteorological operation is statistics.

Statistical modelling is embedded in the different forecast systems developed and operated by MeteoGroup. Similar statistical techniques are also utilised in the tools developed to monitor the quality and performance of forecasted weather elements and plays an important role in data verification, a key requirement for controlling data resilience. Statistical expertise is therefore a key requirement for all staff within the Meteorological Research and Development (MRD) team.
